. . . the Appendent Bodies

I made a promise once to a friend and brother. It was to
remember him fondly if anything ever happened to him. On Good Friday, I
remember my departed friend and brother Winston Hardy as well as other friends
and brothers whom have gone before us. George Wallace, Don Norman, and so many
other men have passed this year beyond this mortal life. All good and true,
whose nobility was of their soul and their character. May they rest in the arms
of angels.

The Unseen Temple
There is an Oasis, bright and fair;
The Unseen Temple is over there,
That Perfect Temple, where all is light,
Where there is no darkness, there is no night;
When Allah calls our friends obey,
And fold their tents and steal away
To the land where the crystal waters flow,
Where the beautiful Palms of Allah grow.
That land must, indeed, be wondrous fair,
Since our brothers choose to linger there
While we pitch our tents in the desert here;
But we do not sorrow, we do not fear.
Yet a little while and our race is run,
And we'll steal away with the setting sun
To the land where the crystal waters flow,
Where the beautiful Palms of Allah grow.

The Eastern Star
by Don Griffith, Past Master #55 F.&A.M, Past Patron #535 O.E.S. Ohio, USA
We are members of the Order of the Eastern Star.
May I tell you what I see when I look at the Star.
This point is blue -- for the blue rays of truth of the words He gave to
you
that the first lesson of the Star
This point is yellow -- for the yellow rays of manna He rain from Heaven
that the second lesson of the Star
This point is white -- for the white rays of "joy" the Savior was born that
night that the third lesson of the Star
This point is green -- we all know what it means in return for His love in
Him put your trust that the fourth lesson of the Star
This point is red -- because of His love for us His blood was shed that
the fifth lesson of the Star
To these five lesson there are many many more. He loves you He loves me. See
what I mean. Love is the center of our star. So take this star and write
it upon your heart and show love to all that you may meet for it is with
love that we welcome you into the Order of the Eastern Star.

Rainbow Girls
By Tiffany Ann Wagner, age 11 (April, 1998), Lake Worth Assembly # 15
Over the hills and across the sky
Where eagles and birds love to fly
Lies a secret to behold
Of many stories, never told
That is the bow in the sky
Held by GOD, up ever so high
At the end lays a pot of gold
None of which is ever sold
For the gold is more than meets the eye
Deep within , Futures lie
The souls of young girls you see
That gold belongs to you and me
As we learn each lesson taught
Teachers are ladies who care a lot
All our hard work will continue to pay
For in our hearts these lessons stay
We make our self happy and proud
A quiet joy, never loud
Without these times full of fun
Many things we could have never done
So I ask and So I pray
That there will be another day
I will help each girl, If I may
So they too. can find their way
Along the road of life we know all to well
To find the gold that no one sells
Our daughters, Daughters will continue to be
Rainbow girls like you and me.
